Qualifications for Paid Leave

Employee must be in a qualified benefits eligible position

Research grant employees must be eligible for earned leave in accordance with the grant agreement

Types of Qualified Paid Leave

Annual Leave

Accrual 1 - 10 years: 15 days a calendar year =

9.38 hours a month 11 years plus: an additional 1 ¼ day

increase for each year Usage

May use up to 30 days of annual leave in a calendar year

to the next year (at the end of the calendar year)

Donation to Leave Pool Maximum of ½ of your accrued leave

each year May not be designated to a specific

individual

Sick leave

an immediate family member Sick Leave in excess of 10 days requires HR

Blood Donations
