When Beverly Ann Williams noticed

all the paper and expensive art supplies that

:'Y4 . .'.-. . ,; , ' wound up in the trash at the end of her

'., .'., '. '' ". classes, she found a very artistic solution to

the problem. Now, instead of throwing art supplies in the trash, she uses the trash itself as art supplies. Having

her students recycle the shredded paper, cups and other styrofoam products into

surprisingly creative works of art. For letting her eighth grade students see just how beautiful recycling can be,

State Farm is pleased to present our Good Neighbor Award to Beverly Ann Williams,

along with $5,000 for the Union Academy Magnet Middle School of Bartow, Florida.
