ASIS International Western Massachusetts Chapter 212 Third Quarter 2015
August Message from the Chair
Colleagues,
How quickly time flies! Our summer hiatus has come to an end and it is back to
business. I hope you enjoyed the long, warm days of summer!
We have our Fall schedule set up with some educational opportunities and some
great events.
Our September meeting is set up for Wednesday, September 16 at 11:30. We will
be meeting at Mercy Hospital for a tour of the facility and lunch. Thanks to Tom
Grondalski for making this happen for us! I will be sending out an invitation with
all the details within the next few days.
Just after that from September 28-October 1 is the 61st Annual ASIS Expo and Ex-
hibits to be held in Anaheim, CA. I know there will be a few members of our chap-
ter in attendance. The program is jam packed with all kinds of educational events
and some great key note speakers. It is an opportunity you can’t miss if you are able
to attend.
Our October meeting this year will be our Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation
Dinner. It will be held on October 21 at the Sheraton at Monarch Place in Spring-
field once again. We will be awarding scholarships to two WMass Criminal Justice
Majors in the amount of $1500.00 each. We will additionally be honoring two
members of Western Mass Law Enforcement for their service to the citizens of our
communities.
In November we will be hosting the new DHS Infrastructure Production Specialist
for Massachusetts, Tim Donnelly. He has presented already for some of our fellow
security personnel in Springfield on the topic of protecting your business from self-
radicalized terrorists. Details for this meeting will be forthcoming in the next few
weeks.
Last but not least our December event will be our Holiday Social. The date, time
and location will be posted on the website as soon as details have been finalized.
I hope to see you all next month at Mercy Hospital!
Best Regards, Maureen Fuller, Chapter Chair, WMass ASIS #212

Seeking a new Treasurer for 2016 We are looking for a volunteer to take over the responsibilities of Treasurer starting in 2016.
John DeBarge Jr. will be assuming the role of Chair in 2016 so we need someone new to take his
place and continue the fantastic work he has done thus far. Please let Maureen, David or John
know if you are interested in volunteering for this position in our Chapter. If we have multiple
people interested we will have an election at our November meeting.
