ForthefirsteightweeksofYear6,thechildrenliveandbreatheShakespeare.Across-curricularapproachembracesHistory,English,PSCHE,ArtandDesign,MusicandDesignTechnology.

WithinthecontextoftheShakespeareSchoolsFestivalProjectthedevelopmentofcreativityskillshasbeensecuredbyattendingtothreemainthemes:- Helpingstudentstotakegreaterresponsibilityforplanningandmanagingtheirownlearning- Establishingopenendedapproachestolearning,wherelearnersandstaffworktogethertoexplorethemes.- Theuseofexternalpartnershipstobroadenandenhancethelearningexperiences.InessencetheuniquepowerofperformancehasbeenusedtoignitecuriosityandengagementwithinbothstaffandstudentsalikeastheyworkedtogethertodeveloptheirinterpretationofTheTempest.AtCragsidePrimaryschooldramaiscelebratedforitsinherentworthaswellasaspringboardforwiderlearningopportunitiesacrossthecurriculum.
