• adjustment of graduation study programmesadjustment of graduation study programmes. Currently, all the University of Minho’s study programmes, both at graduation and post-graduation levels, are already adjusted to the Bologna paradigm
• shifting evaluation methods. shifting evaluation methods. RIAPA (is the new regulation for assessment of students’ performance), which provides for the necessary diversity of evaluation strategies for each course unit and the possibility of doing so throughout the semester (continuous assessment), which may be rightly considered as two of the most significant changes, with a clear impact on teaching and learning methodologies.

The University is strongly committed to the internationalisation of education, having solid partnerships with over 400 foreign universities and integrating a large number of international cooperation networks.
Every year about 350 UMinho students go to foreign universities, particularly in Europe. Time periods spent abroad vary from three to twelve months.
Annually, the University welcomes more than 500 foreign students.
