Phase One: Barre Practice

• Participants stand at barre and receive procedural education with visual and auditory instruction.

• The presence of the barre takes away the need to balance, allowing the participants to focus on the directions.

Phase Two: Middle of the Floor

• Without the bar the vestibular and somatosensory feedback information received while doing the various movements becomes important.

• Also there will be less demonstration so the participants must use working memory to follow the verbal directions correctly.

• PHASE TWO VIDEO

Phase Three: Open Floor with Music

• With the music there is now a rhythm, timing factor to the performance, which will require the participants to coordinate their motor control to the auditory information .

• More feedback control will be used.
