• And we are going to talk about the Tropical forest or Rainforest. We are going to talk its fauna, flora, location...

Biome Climate Zone

• The Tropical Forest has got a warm climate.

• Tropical forest belong to the tropical wet climate group. The temperature rarely gets higher than 34 °C or drops below 20 °C; average humidity is between 77 and 88%.

Location

• Tropical Forest are located near the equator. They cover only a small part of the earth's surface - about 6%.

• 57% of all tropical forest are found in South America. The Amazon jungle is the world's largest tropical forest.

Climatic Conditions

• Precipitation: The tropical forest is a very wet environment, the total rainfall for the year is between 1500 and 2500 mm. It doesn’t have dry seasons. Rain falls nearly every day.

• Temperature: The temperature during the day is around 30ºC - 35ºC. At night the temperature decrease to between 20ºC - 25ºC.

Flora

More than two thirds of the world's plant species are found in the tropical forest.

Competition at ground level for light and food has lead to evolution of plants that grows and grows up, this is why there aren’t so much plants living in the ground.

In tropical forest are so many animals that some of them have not been studied or even named yet. Tropical forests are home to about half of all the world's species. Some of then have been for millions of years. This means that for millions of years the plants and animals in tropical rainforests have been evolving and developing to create an incredibly diverse and complex system.

Conclusion

• Tropical forests has a wet climate and high quantity precipitation. There are a lot of different species of plants and animals that make the three vital functions. Tropical forests are abundant in warm climate areas.
