Are you triggered?

• Marketing = selling yourself• Money stuff• Technology• Insecurities• Comparison• Visibility• Too time consuming/too hard• Too overwhelming

(Have a Kinesiology session on it!)

But I just want to do Kinesiology…

Positive ways to think about marketing

• Inform – what, when, where, why• Inspire – share insights and tools for change• Engage – communicate and connect• Educate – about Kinesiology, wellbeing, healing• Entertain – stories, resources, quotes• Heal/help – spark change for people you may never

even work with in person

It’s not about YOU, it’s about your CLIENTS.

Today…

And we’ll start at the most important place, with your clients…

Before marketing: think about your ideal client

It may evolve…

Connecting with your ideal client

Creating content and re-purposing it in different forms:

Blogging

• Blog = “web log” = online diary. In your case, a place to write articles

• Yes, you need a website!• If you don’t, easiest way to start: set one up

free at www.wordpress.com - website + blog• Ideally you want it set up at

www.wordpress.org so you have full control over your site (pay to get it set up if you need to)

Blogging

• Regularity – weekly, or even monthly• Provides fresh content for your site – repeat

visitors• SEO benefits• Share your unique perspective for your ideal

clients• Content to share in your newsletter and on FB

Tips!

• Imagine you are writing to one or a small group of your clients

• Writing about issues that many of your current clients talk about = excellent way to attract similar clients

• Create shareable content • Link the issue back to Kinesiology sessions with

you• Mention how to book with you

Good SEO post. Gets 1500 views a month

Tongue-in-cheek post that got lots of shares and interest

Personal, relevant to my clients, attracted a lot of new “ideal clients”

A theme that was coming up for lots of clients, used examples and insights

Concepts from a book I often share: “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks

Images

• Don’t just take from Google images• Use copyright free sites like

www.photopin.com, www.morguefile.com • Create your own quotes or graphics at

www.recitethis.com, www.picmonkey.com, www.canva.com

• Buy images at eg www.istockphoto.com • Take your own photos!

E-Newsletters

Use a provider like www.mailchimp.com

Newsletter tips

• Share your latest blog post/s• You might share a personal note, an extract,

then link back to your site for the rest of the post

• Always include your availability details and how to book in with you

• 25-40% open rate for newsletters

Include a link to your newsletter sign up in your email signature

Facebook

• Rules obviously change all the time• Reach is decreasing• Still likely to be a place that many of your ideal

clients spend time• Concentrate mostly on giving with just a little

promotion

Facebook pagefacebook.com/awakenkinesiology

Link to your website, newsletter sign up etc
