Our Faith Curriculum during the Sum-mer Program will focus on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)

and building character.

THEME: PRESCHOOL IN PARADISE

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Create your own giant sunglasses

TUESDAY-Make handmade Hawaiian lei’s

WEDNESDAY-Make a classroom volcano and watch it erupt

THURSDAY-Luau at lunchtime

FRIDAY-Make Hawaiian fruit salad for snack

THEME: DINOSAUR DAYS

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Discover differences between herbivores and carnivores

TUESDAY-Make dinosaur sand art pictures

WEDNESDAY-Make dinosaur fossil impressions

THURSDAY-Dinosaur dig and excavation

FRIDAY-Make dinosaur dirt pudding with gummy dinosaurs for snack

WEEK 3 (JUNE 14-18)

THEME: DESERT DISCOVERY

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Make desert animal masks

TUESDAY-Make animal tracks memory game & discover petting cacti

WEDNESDAY-Make Father’s Day craft

THURSDAY-Father’s Day lunch & visit from the Game & Fish Depart-ment

FRIDAY-Make your own desert trail mix snack

WEEK 4 (JUNE 21-25)

THEME: ZOO MANIA

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Make tissue paper zoo animals

TUESDAY-Make zoo animal masks

WEDNESDAY-Discuss and teach the five animal classes (Mammals, Reptiles, Birds, Amphibians & Insects)

THURSDAY-Presentation from the Phoenix Zoo

FRIDAY-Make zebra pudding for snack

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Piano presentation and children get to play the piano

TUESDAY-Design your own paper mache masks

WEDNESDAY-Create interpretation art portrait

THEME: BLASTOFF INTO SPACE

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Explore gravity with bouncies

TUESDAY-Make handmade telescopes

WEDNESDAY-Make classroom solar systems

THURSDAY-Design and launch rockets with the Arizona Science Center

FRIDAY-Make star jelly sandwiches for snack

THEME: HOME ON THE RANGE

TUESDAY-Decorate cowboy vests

WEDNESDAY-Make S’mores

THURSDAY-Visit from the Cowboy Storyteller and Dusty the horse and get dressed up like cowboys & cowgirls

FRIDAY-Make farm animal puppets

WEEK 9(JULY 26-30)

THEME: UNDER THE SEA

ACTIVITIES:MONDAY-Create an ocean collage using different pictures from magazines.

TUESDAY-Design and make your own pinwheels

WEDNESDAY-Make your own natural seashell box

THURSDAY-Explore different ocean creatures such as starfish & sand dollars

FRIDAY-Make your own ocean snack with Jell-o and gummi fish
