What impact will this have?

• School Improvement will continue. AFL, Powerful Learning Design and new report card will be implemented in schools although not supported by AISI funds.

• Instructional Leadership work will continue at administrators level

• Collaborative English/Social Studies Critical Essay Project

• Implementation of technology in our classrooms

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT:

• Sharing targets and planning using UBD

• Descriptive feedback with students that are linked to curriculum outcomes and based on established criteria and/or rubrics.

• Self and peer feedback.

• Use strategic questions to prompt student reflection and move towards critical thinking.

• Teach core academic vocabulary using the vocabulary building process through Marzano’s six steps.

• Use of interactive learning by using engaging technology tools such as digital storytelling, word cue, use of Google docs, blogs etc.

• Continued strategy instruction planned for year 2 and 3

• The grade 1-6 GHSD report card will be implemented and the grade 7-9 will be under development.

• Provincial data will be analyzed and used for planning.
