• Winner of RIBA Gold Medal, the Thomas Jefferson Medal, the RIBA Stirling Prize, the Minerva Medal and Pritzker Prize.

Renzo Piano

• Born September 14, 1937

• Italian architect and critic Nicolai Ouroussoff said the “... serenity of his best buildings can almost make you believe that we live in a civilized world.”

• Best known for Pompidou Center in Paris, Parco della Musica in Rome, Shared London Bridge in London, and The New York Times Building in New York.
