Issue official concurrence/closure letters tailored to meet the needs of the applicants
Property Owners & Developers : -Develop Agricultural Lands -Convert Industrial/Commercial Use to Residential Use -Expand or rebuild Shopping Malls
Property Owners & Prospective Buyers: -Property Transactions
-Renew property Leases -Change site use
Banks & Lending Companies: -Title Transfers -Appraisals -Refinancing

Aboveground storage tank leaks Agricultural and nursery activities Industrial facilities: dry cleaners, auto
repair & auto body, plating shops, circuit board manufacturing, machine shops, power plants, etc.
Accidental releases: truck rollovers, fuel dispensing facilities, warehouses that store hazardous chemicals
Military facilities: shooting ranges & mishaps
Old burn ash dumps

Petroleum Hydrocarbons FUELS: Gasoline & Diesel
VOCs: BTEX, MTBE/Oxygenates Semi-volatiles, PNAs
OILS: Waste oil Hydraulic oil, Bunker oil, others

Chlorinated Hydrocarbons:
Solvents: Perchloroethylene (PCE, PERK) Trichloroethylene (TCE) Dichloroethane (DCA) Vinyl Chloride, etc.

Administered by the CAL-EPA Site Designation Committee.
CAL-EPA delegates regulatory authority to appropriate agencies, such as DEH.
These projects are financed through the VAP program.
SITE DESIGNATION PROGRAM
(SDP)
Collaborate with the RWQCB, DTSC, APCD, State Fish & Game and U.S. Fish and Wildlife, as necessary.
Projects are completed to ensure the standards of other agencies are met.
Decisions are made collectively with all agencies involved.
