Why Employable Skills are necessary for Potential Drop-outs in Government Schools?
• 47 million students drop out from Schools every year [MHRD]
• They leave their studies primarily to support their families economically
• Majority being unskilled and untrained – gets vulnerable to being exploited by the society and the market forces
Emancipation of School Drop-Outs using KEDSupporting Government of India initiative in Public Private Partnership-CSR
The Globally Deployed KED Methodology in association with NSDC has been adapted to make this program relevant and more effective for the School Drop-outs
Vocationalization of Education in Schools is a program which is currently being implemented in over 9000 schools with
0.70 M students in Grades 9th to 12th enrolled in all 29 States
The program is jointly funded by Ministry of Human Resources & Development and the State Governments
Our pilot project for 100 Schools isapproved by honorable Chief Minister of Haryana
The program now has Administrative and Financial Approval from HSSPP funder PPP mode
Kunskapsskolan, Manav Rachna and NSDC have committed contributing USD $1.34M (INR 9.60 Crores) for this pilot
We are developing an online digital learning portal in Hindi covering three sectors IT, Retail and Beauty & Wellness. Next being planned are Patient Care, Banking and Finance and Physical
Education and Sports
We have trained 200 teachers on how to use the KED methodology.
We further invested USD $0.14M (INR 75 Lakhs) in creating 5 Model Vocational Labs to implement the KED program.
NSDC, Oriflame Sweden, Sony India and Honda have committed there CSR for 7 more schools amounting to INR 2.45 Crores
