The 59th IEEE conference on Decision and Control will be heldTuesday through Friday, December 8-11, 2020 at theInternational Convention Center, Jeju Island, Republic of Korea.The conference will be proceeded by technical workshops onMonday, December 7, 2020.
The CDC is recognized as the premier scientific andengineering conference dedicated to the advancement of thetheory and practice of systems and control. The CDC annuallybrings together an international community of researchers andpractitioners in the field of automatic control to discuss newresearch results, perspectives on future developments, andinnovative applications relevant to decision making, systemsand control, and related areas.
The 59th CDC will feature contributed and invited papers, aswell as workshops and tutorial sessions.
The IEEE CDC is hosted by the IEEE Control Systems Society(CSS) in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and AppliedMathematics (SIAM), and the Japanese Society for Instrumentand Control Engineers (SICE).
Jeju is a beautiful island with three UNESCO designationsincluding the World Natural Heritage and Global Geopark.Being on the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula, Jeju Islandis known for the subtropical climate and is a great touristdestination. It was formed by volcanic eruptions about 2 millionyears ago. The volcano Hallasan is the highest mountain inKorea, standing 1950 meters above sea level, and the world’slongest lava tubes can be found. The large Gotjawal Forest hasremained uncultivated due to the lava base unsuitable foragriculture, resulting in a unique ecology. The ocean-frontconference venue has many resort-style hotels nearby.
