What is it?
Independent certification of solar PV
installations
Applies to:
Building-mounted PV
50kW and above
Grid-connected (LV distribution network)
New or existing PV systems

Certification Process
Solar PV Certification Scheme
• Application to join the scheme
• Design assessment
• Installation assessment
• Certificate awarded & online listing
• Ongoing maintenance of certification
Certification stage 1: Design Review
Assess designs against the scheme requirements
(based on CoP+)
Includes: component specification, electrical and
mechanical calculations, drawings, plans,
documentation, energy yield sense check.

Onsite inspection to assess
