What is a preposition?
A preposition is a word
which tells you where something
is.

Les prépositions
Prepositions are used to say where something is:
sous underneath
sur on top of
à côté de next to
devant infront of
derrière behind
entre between
dans in
Now you can use the prepositions with the verb ETRE to say where things are in a room:
Eg/La lampe est sur la table
How would you say…
The lamp is next to the desk?
La lampe est à côté du bureau
De + le = du
Copy and write in French:
1. The TV is on the table
2. The poster is next to the door
3. The chair is behind the bed
4. The rug is under the window
5. The bed is in between the wardrobe and the door
6. The shelves are in the wardrobe
7. The blue curtains are in front of the window
8. The computer and lamp are on the table next to the door
