Walkway and

Landscape EnhancementProject

Preferred Option – October 2013

This presentation shows the proposal that is currently being developed in

collaboration with Bristol City Council into a final scheme that should be taken forward for implementation. It is under review for quality assurance and costs but is expected to proceed predominantly as shown here.Dependent on this process and budget constraints, some elements may not be able to be included in the works at this time, however, the proposal allows

for these to be added later and to let the project proceed even without all elements being included.

Overall the proposal has also been revised to provide a more flexible, neutral backdrop that will be interchangeable and adaptable to meet future

community preferences and circumstances and will promote a more creative, dynamic and inclusive community use of the space.

The feedback we received from our public consultation exercise has been taken into account in preparing the current proposals although cost

limitations have meant that not all of the public preferences could be included, although it is envisaged that temporary facilities and future adaptations could address these at some future time.

The scheme still follows and will enable the Bear pit Improvement Group to

continue with our broad aims of Art, History, Play, Trading and Greening.
