Apart from a few ‘eagles’, most

I  can  imagine  each  box  is  full  of  traits  of  what  makes  a  thriving,  surviving  or  nose  diving  leader.    No  one  is  lives  all  the  7me  in  any  part  of  this  diagram.    In  fact,  my  experiences  has  shown  me  that  we  can  ‘buQerfly’  all  over  the  place  depending  on

what’s  going  on  in  our  lives.

Here’s  the  next  part  of  this  applica7on:

Ask  some  of  your  team  to  highlight  the  traits  they  experience  you  doing.    Don’t  sweat  it…  I’ve  seen  the  best  leaders  get  every  sec7on  highlighted!

Personal  Workshop:  To  help  you  thrive...

The  secret  in  becoming  a  Thriving  Leader  is  to  focus  on  what  it  means  to  Thrive.    If  you  went  and  asked  others  what  traits  they  saw  in  you,  have  a  look  at  your  thrive

sec7ons.    No7ce  two  things:

1.  Where  they  have  highlighted  in  the  thrive  sec7on  –  great  work…  keep  doing  more  of  that!

 2.  Where  there  are  traits  that  have  NOT  been  highlighted  –  whoops!    These  are

the  things  you  aren’t  doing.    Rather  than  trying  to  manage  your  weaknesses  in  the  survive  and  nose  dive  sec7on…  start  doing  those  other  thriving  ac7vi7es.

And  preQy  soon,  the  nose  dive  and  survive  traits  will  disappear  through  neglect!

secrets  to  thriving  #  1  :    Get  some  great  feedback  #  2  :    Be  ‘you’  plus  20%  -‐  amplify  yourself  –  give

more  and  you’ll  enjoy  it  more!  #  3  :    Choose  one  or  two  things  to  focus  on  doing

beQer  #  4  :    Take  some  risks!  #  5  :    Be  the  best  possible  you  #  6  :    Model  the  people  you  admire  #  7  :    Dare  to  thrive

Be  Thriving  that’s  what  your  team  really,  really,  really  wants  you  to  be!
