HI MY NAME IS HAROLD LITTLEWOLFE, AND I AM FROM ONION LAKE, SASK. I WAS BORN IN PARADISE HILL, SASK, IN 1966 OF JUNE THE FIRST.

I grew up on a farm. We were farmers, who worked hard on the land when we had to. When our chores were done, we could go hunting or go play in the fields

. I came from a musical family, that’s where I learned how to sing and play the drums and play guitar. I grew up listening to the Beatles, Abba, Freddie fender and the rolling stones, the Eagles and the C.C.R. That’s where my interests of music began.

There was me my cousin and our good friend Vern, who played the drums. Yes we had a band, and we called ourselves The E.Z Rock Band. We played at talent shows, some weddings when my dad was playing for them.

After high school I moved on to College, where again I had a hard time adjusting. Yes I was in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan again . College life was great there however I had a drinking problem, and that really slowed me down and made me miss a lot of school. I managed to finish one year and had to quit because I got sick.

In 1988 I took up another interest. I went to Blue Quills College, where I took Auto Mechanics.

It was during this time when I had dream, I dreamt of myself riding a horse with traditional dance suit regalia. This is where my Pow Wow days came from. So I was done my six month course with auto-mechanics, and moved back home again

This was the time I started making my dance outfit. It was a traditional outfit; however I did not have the bustles that go with it. So I went to my grandfathers to ask if he had any eagle feathers for my bustles, and he told me if you really want to dance just go dance without a bustle.

The first Pow Wow I went to was in Morley Alberta, and that was a lot of fun and made some new friends. A week later some eagle feathers came to me, so I made me a bustle. Ever since then I’ve been dancing at local pow wows.

Today I attend Portage College, I am taking the Native Artisans Program. This is my second year and it is a lot of fun. I moved my little family here because of personal reasons, however I also wanted them to experience new places. I chose this program again because I like learning new ways to make stuff; also I took that negative situation and made it positive.
