What is a cidomo?Cidomo or sometimes called Cimodok  transportation horsepower is typical of the island of Lombok, the vehicle is physically similar to the wagon or buggycontained on the island of Java, the main difference with a wagon or carriage isused instead of wooden wheels, used car wheels cidomo use as wheels.

Cidomo cikar, dokar and montor (Montor in Sasak language). Cidomo own origins are less know exactly since when there on the island of Lombok, this vehicle stems from the traditional means of transportation or common name Cikar known as traditional vehicles drawn by kudakan but inparticular right to transport goods instead of passengers.

Gig is a traditional means of transportation pulled by horses but specialize is used to transport passengers. Gig is also found in several other regions inindonesi name of gig in some areas is Delman.

Why people enjoy using cidomo?

Cidomo is so unique is because the use of tires as a car wheel, as we know it using a wheeled wagon or carts of wood. In ancient times also gig at the island using the wheel of a specially designed timber in accordance with theconditions of the gig.

Until now, transportation is still the primary means of transportation, especially in areasnot accessible by public transport and central areas such as market economy.

By using cidomo we can enjoy our trip in the village. Beside that it’s a cheap transportation. That’s why many women usually use it to go shopping to market
