HOW…
How do organizations plan for this inevitable
event?
How will this impact current software products
used by corporations, students, and others?

Research
What new technology is upcoming?
What will be most beneficial to company?
SOFTWARE MAKERS AND THE
OBSOLETE PC
Computer software will eventually be obsolete
just like the PC
When software upgrades, the old versions are
no longer useful
Eventually all forms of software will become
unnecessary
Companies that are able to adapt to the rapid
advancements in technology and use them to
their advantage.
Motorola and Google are excellent examples
that have grown substantially from
investments in the smartphones and the
docks.
These companies make technology
fast, accessible, and convenient for their
customers.
Companies that fall behind and miss out on
the opportunities that technology has to offer.
Microsoft for example just recently planned to
collaborate with Nokia to develop a
smartphone.
This is a good step for Microsoft but
considering the efforts that other companies
have made previously, it may be too late.
