VVTA NTC Commuter Riders Require Temporary Access Pass To Enter Fort Irwin

Embed Size (px)

DESCRIPTION

We have been notified by the directorate of emergency services that there will be important changes for access of contractors to Fort Irwin effective Thursday, October 2, 2014. All civilian contractor employees will be required to have a temporary access pass to gain entry to Fort Irwin. Those individuals not having a pass in hand starting October 2, will be screened at the main gate through the National Instant Background Check System (NICS). Temporary access badges will be issued to contractors cleared through the NICS. If you are not cleared, you will not be granted access to Fort Irwin and will have to leave the bus. Your human resource office should already have given you information on the process with instructions on how to receive your pass. If not, please contact them immediately to insure you will have a pass by no later than October 2. This change applied only to contractor employees and not military, DA civilians or non-appropriated fund civilians. Please note that Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) buses will be offering return transportation to employees detained who do not have a bus pass on the outbound routes at a cost of $12.00 per person. Riders should expect delays beginning on Thursday next week. Please note that we do not have any information on the process for getting your temporary pass – you must contact your company administrative personnel.
