It is the biggest fishing port in the world and one of the busiest in transportation. Vigo is the base for big fishing companies which have important presence in some countries

Castrelos park

Located in the neighborhood of the same name, it's the largest urban park in Vigo.

It hasa big auditorium in the open air and walking areas with lakes and a variety of forest species.

Príncipe, Urzaiz and Gran Via streets

They are the leisure and commercial streets by excellence. They are streets with wide sidewalks, where you can find good fashionable shops and leisure facilities. In the very heart of the Gran Via, in the Square of Spain, is the Monument to the Horses, a work of the sculptor Juan Oliveira.

It was founded in 1990. Its antecedent is the College of Vigo, created in the 70s

Currently it has more than 20,000 students enrolled, having registered a steady decline from a peak of 29,000 students in the academic year 1999/2000.

Samil is one of the largest beaches of Vigo and the most frequented by tourists and visitors. It offers extensive walking areas, gardens and sports facilities, pools and other services.Vao has got a high environmental quality. At its western end is Toralla.

Cíes islandThey are a part of the National Park of the Atlantic Islands. They have beaches, a camp site, and can be visited in summer season. In 2007 the British newspaper The Guardian chose Rodas beach on the island of Monteagudo as "most beautiful beach in the world."

Antonio Durán Moreiras (Morris) is a Spanish actor. His most sucessful program was “Pratos combinados”.

Martin Codax was a minstrel from XIII century and early XIV century. We don't know much about his

identity.
