of its white belly, stark red legs, and the unmistakeable long down-curved bill, along with an equally prominent black face and
matching breast band: this bird is found on the shingle riverbanks of the high plateau of central
Asia and the Himalayas.

a part of a large, small-to-medium sized, cosmopolitan family of birds that includes the crakes, coots, and gallinules among others.
BLACK-HEADED JAYThe black-headed jay is known to forage for
