Authentic, Natural and Cultural are the words that best capture the essence of Romania, a dynamic country rich in history, arts and scenic beauty.

For this project,I choose Mamaia. A favorite weekend get-away for locals, Mamaia is one of the

most sought-after resorts on the Black Sea coast. A narrow stretch of fine-sand beach between the Black Sea and Lake

Siutghiol ("Lake of Milk" in Turkish), Mamaia boasts numerous hotels, a casino, sporting facilities (water sports,

biking, tennis, beach games), and hip nightclubs and restaurants located within 100 feet of the sea. You can

spend the mornings cooling down at the beach or at the Aqua Magic Park, located at the very entrance of the resort,

and the afternoons taking in the view of the Black Sea by riding the Telegondola (Cable Car).

• Mamaia is a resort on the Romanian Black Sea shore and a district of Constanța.

• Considered to be Romania's most popular resort, Mamaia is situated immediately north-east of Constanţa's city center. It has almost no full-time residents, being populated mostly during the summer.

• Mamaia lies on a strip of land 8 km (5.0 mi) in length and only 300 m (328 yards) in width, between the Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol.

• The beach season is at its best between mid June and early September, when average daytime temperatures range between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius. The water stays warm until mid autumn.

• The beach, smoothly descending in the sea water, is thus extremely safe for children or for people who cannot swim.Due to its excellent location, the breezes coming from both the sea and the lake chill the hot summer weather. Along this beach, there are elegant and chic hotels which can simultaneously accommodate 20 000 tourists during the summer season.

• It is a must to visit the Fun Park and the Water (Aqua Magic)during your stay in Mamaia. Its offer all sorts of fun games and appliances for both children and adults.

Climate

• The temperate climate with marine influences allows development for the coastal tourism as the average annual rainfall has a low value (about 400 mm/year).

• Summer season lasts from early May to late September and the eastern exposure helps increasing the time spent tanning on the beach as the sun stays shining longer.

• Water skiing – Judging by its name, water skiing is the ski practiced on water and hauled by a boat. Its equipment is different from the one of mountain skiing and the techniques are slightly different, but the basis is the same: balance, courage and lots of fun.

• Jet skiing – This leisure option is, in fact, a combination between an ordinary boat and a motorbike. If you have tried it once, you will not give it up.

Transport• If you find yourself going around by car, this resort can be

reached by passing an instant barrier at the entering point , where there might be required in paying a small fee.

• Another way of enjoying the view of Mamaia, is by cable car , this being one of the most popular ways of transport through this area.So if you don`t have a fear of heights (50 m away from the ground) than this could be one way of observing the resort along a distance of 2 km.

Shopping & Recreation• When the sun sets, Mamaia starts

vibrating. The night parties, clubs and discos are just a few of the things which make the resort one of the most visited on the shore of the Black Sea. The clubs in Mamaia are varied and can satisfy any requirements with their rhythms, large dance rings, pools, live concerts and very good music. All these are the perfect ingredients for the night life you will never forget and will log for the whole year long.

• Mamaia is also packed with shops and boutiques selling traditional things for those who like keeping souvenirs.
