Tin Minutes Tour in Paris

Welcome to Paris! The capital of France is one of the most
beautiful cities on planet earth.
Thousands of tourists come to this city to see its streets, avenues and squares. Many others to visit its museums. Others come to taste its famous cuisine. Many other tourists come to this city to visit the sites where took place many events that changed our history for
ever.
But one of the main reasons to come to Paris is to fall in love.
the Louvre museum
The Seine river
The Seine river splits the heart of the city in two.
Several bridges link both river banks and the 'Ile de la Cite' and the 'ile Saint-Louis', the two islands in the town center.
Place de la Concorde
We are now in Place de la Concorde, not far from the Louvre museum The river Seine sits at our right.
This is the largest square in Paris, and although it was constructed between 1757 and 1777, it has a long history.
After the revolution the square received its current name: 'Place de la Concorde' (=peace).
'Champs Elysees'
The 'Champs Elysees' is one of the most famous avenues in the world.
It goes from Place de la Concorde

the Triumphal Arch
This is another of the most typical sights in Paris.
The Triumphal Arch.
In 1940 the Nazi troops used it to celebrate their victory over France.
A few years later, in 1944, French, British and American troops marched through it as a symbol of the liberation of Paris.

It seems you cannot leave Paris without visiting it.

The oldest university in the World, sits in the Latin Quarter since the 13th century.
