The Immigration of the
Prophet Muhammad
Introduction
• Upon God’s order Prophet Muhammad emigrated To Madinah, a city in Saudi Arabia. He had to emigrate for the heavy torture and persecution staged on him and his followers. In the new city he established his state from which the torch of Islam was carried to the farthest corners in the world, this great event is foretold in Isaiah, 21:13-17
" The oracle concerning Arabia. In the thickets in Arabia you will lodge, O caravans of Dedanites. To the thirsty bring water, meet the fugitive with bread, O inhabitants of the land of Tema. For they have fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the press of battle. For thus the Lord said to me:
'Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end; and the remainder of the archers of the mighty men of the sons of Kedar will be few; for the Lord, the God of Israel, has spoken.' " Isaiah, 21:13-17
This prophecy talks about:
•The emigration of a certain prophet •The location of his emigration•The persecution he would suffer• Attempts on his life •The prophet’s war against his enemies •His victory over his enemy within one year
The prophecy pinpoints a certain location to
the New Call, it says
" The oracle concerning Arabia.”
This verse is a strong reference to Prophet
Muhammad as no other prophet was sent in
the Arabia but prophet Mohammed.
The Prophecy Says:
In the thickets in Arabia you will lodge, O caravans of Dedanites.
The Dedanites are the descendents of Prophet
Abraham, The Prophet Mohammed was among the
lineage of Dadan . In his emigration Prophet
Muhammad spent many nights in the desert .
The Prophecy says:
To the thirsty bring water, meet the fugitive with bread… For
they have fled from the swords, from the drawn sword
The thirsty and the fugitive here is Prophet Mohammed, who spent many days in the burning desert. He was fugitive because he fled from an attempt on his life but God told him about it and ordered him to emigrate to the city of Madina to establish the new Islamic state
The prophecy refers to the attempts on
Prophet Muhammad’s life
Pinpointing the place of emigration
But Where is Tema?
Tema is a city near Yatherb, the city to which
the prophet emigrated to. Tema was
populated by the Jews, Yather( Now Al-
MadiNA) hadn't been built at the time of the
prophecy
The prophecy says: meet the fugitive with bread, O inhabitants of the land of Tema.

For they have fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the press of battle.
On the eve of emigration, there was a machination to
murder him. Twenty sword men were appointed to kill
him So, he fled from the swords and the bent blow and
the eminent wars that were about to be launched
against him and his followers.
'Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end;
Kedar was the grandfather of the enemies of the prophet
The mighty men of Kedar were killed just one year after the emigration of the prophet
One year after the emigration of Prophet Mohammed, the enemies of Prophet Mohammed launched a war against him.In this war the leaders of the enemies were crushingly defeated .
The prophecy says “….and the remainder of the archers of the mighty men of the sons of Kedar will be few…”
In this battle, known as Badar, seventy enemies of the prophet were killed, they were among the sons of Kedar, the son of Ismail. In this battle the number of the Muslim warrior were fewer than their enmities but by the grace of God, they were the triumphant
