REFURBISHED PROTEA HOTEL CAPITAL IS THE JEWEL OF PRETORIA

April 2014: A 7-month refurbishment of all public spaces and rooms of Protea Hotel Capital

has just been completed, showcasing a unique, fresh sense of style.

The extensive refurbishment includes the restaurant, reception area, lounge and the 104

spacious en suite bedrooms, as well as new mood lighting and air-conditioning systems.

Protea Hotels Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue, Danny Bryer, says the renovation has

transformed the Protea Hotel Capital into one of the most exciting venues in Pretoria.

“With its central location Protea Hotel Capital is a firm favourite for conferencing, and

delegates in the 6 well-equipped conference venues will love the new calm earthy tones

and clean lines of the fittings and furnishings.

“Among the public areas that received a make-over are the elegant Thistle Cocktail Bar and

enclosed pool and patio, which are excellent locations for receptions, coffee breaks and

dinner parties.”

In the rooms new laptop safes have also been installed along with the comfortable, modern

furniture. The restaurant boasts a new buffet area as well.

The hotel is situated on the edge of the CBD with easy access to the State Theatre, Hatfield

entertainment area and botanical park.
