SlovakiaSlovakia is a small country situated in the hearth of Europe. Slovakian borders are with Czech republic, Poland, Ukraine, Hungaria and Austria. It‘s a beautiful country with mountains and valleys. We have also a lot of historical monuments.

Mountains•The most beautiful mountains are the High Tatras, which have the highest peak Gerlach. Gerlach is 2 655 meters high. •The High Tatras are the most popular center of tourism. •We have great places for summer recreations and ski resorts for winter sports.

Historical monuments

Slovakia has many monuments like Bratislava castle, Bojnice castle or Orava castle. We have beautiful caves. Demänovská ice cave and Dobšinská cave are the most popular. You can find here Slovak Betlehem in Rajecká Lesná or beautiful Museum of Slovak Village - Čičmany.

• The population of Slovakia is over 5 millions people.

• Bratislava is the biggest city of Slovakia and it‘s also the capital city.

• Ivan Gašparovič is the president of Slovak republic and his residence is in Bratislava.

• In Bratislava there is also the biggest airport in Slovakia and river Dunaj flows here. 

• You can find Bratislava castle next to the Dunaj.

FoodOur typical food are dumplings. We have great cheese and milk from

goats, sheeps and cows. We have also good sausages, vegetables and typical pie is apple strudel.

Our town Vráble

The place where we live is a small town called Vráble and it's situated in the southwest of Slovakia.The population is about nine thousand people.River Žitava flows here. This area is also known for the cultivation of the vine.

The most beautiful monument is the Roman - Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
