Architecture and Design
Carlos Hernández-Carrillo, an architect with Estudio b76, and his team that specialises
in work of this nature, was in charge of refurbishing the hotel. The decoration bears the
hallmark of the prestigious interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, who has created a
welcoming, warm and sophisticated space that reinterprets in an up-to-date, elegant and
pleasant manner the styles of the Spanish Colonies and the Mediterranean.

Mr. Juan Luciano Balez, the
then owner of the plot of
land, chose architect Juan
Bautista Peironet to undertake
the project to build what
would be the Palace of the
Marquis of Alhama.
BUILT IN 1860 RENOVATED IN 1915 RENOVATED IN 2013
The heirs of the Marchioness
Widow of Alhama chose
architect Manuel Ruiz Senén to
completely overhaul the family
palace in order to turn it
into a residential building
with a number of shop
premises.
Ayre Hotels appointed

to refurbish the building
and to turn it into the Only
YOU Hotel & Lounge Madrid.

As well as the restaurant's ample menu,
the hotel also adapts to the day-to-day

complete à la carte breakfast, an
executive menu that changes from one
week to the next, and an attractive
tapas tasting menu. It also offers
different gastronomic and leisure
proposals depending on what day of the
week it is: ‘Dolce Martedi’, After Work
and Sunday Brunch.
All complemented by a wide range of
wines, cava and champagne. Our cocktail
bar offers an outstanding selection of
more than 40 gins, not to mention our
own house cocktails, prepared by
authentic barmen.

‘Dolce Martedi’
Only You Hotel & Lounge offers its own
particular “benvenuto” to the Italian
Aperitif, that marvellous custom that
developed in Turin in 1786 and which
years later would become part and
parcel of day-to-day life in Italy.
In Only YOU, the Italian aperitif
includes a mini buffet in which you can
enjoy succulent dishes such as
brochettes, "chistorra" sausages cooked
in beer, grissini, omelette with
truffles, "mortadela" with an Oriental
dressing, or dried cherries in oil and
oregano. Drinks not included. All this
and many more snacks, accompanied by a
classic Aperol Spritz. Who said that
life on Tuesdays could not be "bella"?
