Mangalore is well connected by air from/to Bangalore/Mumbai

Mangalore is well connected by rail and road to all major South Indian cities. Trivandrum Rajdhani passes through the Konkan

railway route through Mangalore on the way to Trivandrum. Recently the scenic train route through Western Ghats have been

converted to broad gauge. This will connect Mangalore with Bangalore via Sakleshpur by Rail. Currently only passenger trains

are operational on this route (no express/luxury trains as of now – Dec 2007)

Mangalore is well connected by bus to all major towns in Karnataka

WeatherTropical•Summer and winter are quiet alike in the city and both are quiet pleasant with average temperature ranging between 27 'C to 34 'C •The only problem in these parts are the humidity that at an average is about 78 %.

Best time to VisitAll year round•Best time to visit Mangalore is between November and May if you hate getting wet. •Visit between June to October if you want to see the beauty of the place in monsoons when it rains heavily and the earth is covered in beautiful green.
