• London is the capital of England which is in Europe.

• It is the ninth largest city in the world and the largest in Europe.

• London gets 13 and a half million visitors every year.

Physical and human features

• The main physical feature in London is the River Thames which runs through the centre of the city.

• Buckingham palace is a human feature it is were the queen lives. There is approximately 900,000 square feet of floor space.

• Big Ben is 96.31 metres tall and it was built in 1858.

London Eye

The London eye was opened by Tony Blair, in December 1999. The London eye is the biggest Ferris wheel in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom.
