It is especially important to make sureyou’re covered with all of the medicinesand first aid pieces you’ll need for a safeand enjoyable vacation. Packing theseessentials with the whole family in mindtakes it to another level.

To simplify the process andmake it as painless aspossible (after all , you wantto have fun ! ) I ’ve compiled alist of dos and don ’ts forkeeping both yourself andyour family safe while onvacation .

Do : Make a l ist

List the medicines (prescriptions ,

supplements , vitamins , etc . ) everyone inyour family will need and check it off asyou pack these items . A basic travel f irstaid kit should include all of your andyour family ’s prescriptions ,

hydrocortisone cream for bug bites andrashes , Tylenol , band aids ,

antihistamines for allergic reactions ,

alcohol wipes , and small scissors .

Do : CheckVaccinations

Wear slippers or socks in hotel roomsand , it may go without saying , but besure to wear shoes outdoors . Parasiticinfections are common in somecountries , and in general , kids are morelikely to put their hands and feet intheir mouths , so bring along some handsanitizer or hand wipes !
