When I say Genghis Khan is popular… I mean that not only is every other shop and restaurant named after him, but there’s a 40m steel horse and rider in the middle of nowhere recently dedicated to him. (Several pictures of this epic statue coming up)
Genghis Khan (Chinggis Khaan), 12th century ruler of Mongolia, the only military power to conquer Russia in written history, “Man of the Millennium”, and still very popular in Mongolia.
Best of all, you can climb out onto the horse’s mane, and look out over the Mongolian mountainous plains.
An ancient monastery museum in the middle of the city.
