3. Keep left while driving: In Thailand, driving is on the left hand side, and you have to
keep the car on left side of the road. If it is a one way multi lane road, then extreme right
is the fast or passing lane, and extreme left is the slow pace lane.
4. Speed Limit in Thailand: The speed limit of driving car in Thailand varies;
Towns and cities: 60kph
Highways: 100kph to 120kph
Be cautious while driving on the roads of Thailand, as speed limit is one of the serious

5. Road signage in Thailand: Road signages in Thailand are mostly in Thai or English
language, so there is no problem in understanding them. In Thailand, you might face
problem in finding the route inside the cities or towns, so in that case, using GPS fitted
cars can be of good use. Also, you can ask for directions from the people, as they are
ready to help the people.
6. Seatbelts while driving: It is must to wear seat belts while driving in Thailand. The rate
of accidents in Thailand is quite alarming, so for your own protection, take all the safety
measures.
7. Drink & drive in Thailand: It is illegal to drive the car when drunk. Still, there are
several drivers, who violate this rule like many other road traffic rules. So for your own
safety, be careful of other drivers specially during night.
8. Driving & mobiles: It is not allowed to use mobile phones while driving in Thailand.
You can however use hands free kit.
