6 – 15 years

1st part – basics (reading, writing, counting, basics of a foreign language, etc.)

2nd part – extension of pupil‘s knowledge (mathematics, biology, history, foreign language, etc.)

no special exam in the end of the studies on primary school, only entrance exams to secondary school

15 – 18/19

more focused on student‘s future

3 years – apprenticeships (baker, builder, shop assistant, hairdresser)

4 years – final tests – Maturita - leaving exam (business academy, banking academy, etc.)

It is focused on the really life-praxisThey are divided to various lines (medicine,

law, economic, art, IT...)You have to sucesfully finish three years of

study and pass an examination to receive the university bachelor´s degree

It is possible to continue studying for the next two years to get the highest degree title, which differs from the type of university
