Managing Director
Roy has been immersed in Chinese business and culture since 1994 and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. He launched ChinaContact in 2005 a9er working in Shanghai and Beijing for three years and focuses his consultancy pracBce on China's tourism, hospitality and retail s e c t o r s . R o y a l s o f o u n d e d China Edge in 2013 as a training and advisory business for UK retailers and hospitality providers. He is a regular and frequent speaker at industry events and advisor to tour i sm boards and tour i sm companies. He holds a bachelor's degree in Chinese and Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
Roy has made his career in travel and tourism business development with an emphasis on China. He has a deep understanding of China's culture and business pracBces developed from academia, public and private sector work. He is an experienced travel markeBng and distribuBon execuBve involved in e-‐commerce, online travel and hospitality.
He held senior business development pos iBons at Gul l i vers Trave l Associates & Octopustravel.com (London & China), Expedia (London) and Travel Leaders Group (New York). Roy serves pro-‐bono as Director of Eco and Heritage Tourism at JUCCCE, a China based NGO.

Sylvie Chen, Director of OperaBons (Shanghai, China) Sylvie has 10 years of experience in travel agency product design, markeBng, sales and tour leading. She is an award winning tour planner previously with Sunshine Travel Agency (BCD Taiwan).
Delphine Klein, Accounts ExecuBve (London, UK) Delphine graduated with a Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and InternaBonal Business, specialised in MarkeBng. During her studies, she visited and studied in China mulBple Bmes and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
Leon Wang, MarkeBng Manager (London, UK) A9er working as markeBng specialist in media and entertainment sector in China, Leon has gained profound insight into the tourism and hotel industry from his master study at Oxford Brookes University.
Cindy Zhou, Public RelaBons (Shanghai, China) Cindy has 5-‐year experience in strategic communicaBon counseling with FleishmanHillard, Weber Shandwick and Hill & Knowlton, she demonstrates strengths in research and media relaBons for both mulBnaBonal and local brands.
