Hotel du Vin& Malmaison

Hotel du Vin is a luxury boutique hotel chain with 14 properties across the UK. Malmaison hotels “dare to be different" with 12 sites in the UK.

Both are owned wholly by MWB Group Holdings.

BIG has been tasked with raising the profile of Hotel du Vin and Malmaison hotels across Scotland and Northern Ireland, maintaining their luxury positioning with strategic brand building

what we did

BIG’s strong relationships with travel and luxury media ensures there is a regular flow of press trips and reviews delivering high profile exposure for the hotels’ style credentials and luxury positioning.

BIG also drives forward specific initiatives such as Hotel du Vin’s charity pledge to the Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation where BIG managed the launch news conference with Colin Montgomerie plus wider media relations around staff fundraising activities.

what we did

Part of our brand building focuses on events and launches. BIG planned and managed both the launch of Hotel du Vin Edinburgh’s al fresco Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar and Hotel du Vin Glasgow’s Champagne Afternoon Tea.

As well as securing attendance from all key press, BIG secured coverage in every major publication in Scotland, creating new and sustained business for the hotel.

BIG has consistently delivered high profile media and blog coverage with over 300 pieces of coverage achieved to date spanning national, regional, online and trade

BIG regularly negotiates and manages contra deals with partners and media on behalf of Hotel du Vin and Malmaison, delivering significant added value to the PR programme

BIG has secured strong attendance at events and launches including Jack Vettriano’s Hotel Heartbreak Art Exhibition, Hotel du Vin’s Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea and Malmaison Belfast’s 7th Birthday, attracting and securing a wide cross section of journalists and bloggers from top tier key target media
