New Law 1508 (2012) on PPP Ø Establishes a legal regime governing the Public – Private Partnerships or Associa2ons (PPP) Ø Creates guidelines for the promo2on of PPP schemes Defines PPPs as : “... a tool for the par-cipa-on of private capital, materialised in a contract (...) for the provision of public goods and their related services, involving the reten-on and transfer of risks between the par-es and payment mechanisms related to availability and the level of service of the infrastructure and/or service” Ø The law presents two types of PPP:
Ø (i) Public ini2a2ve PPPs, and Ø (ii) Private ini2a2ve PPPs
