Option to File Email on ReplyWe have had some requests for some functionality in GoldMine where an email is filed on reply.
This can be set by the individual user in Tools | Options in Desktop.

wMobile Manager ConsoleAn administrator can set this for all users in the wMobile Manager Console, under Default User Options.
Navigate to Options | Common | Email as shown below. Set ‘CompleteOriginalMessageOnReply’ to True. Then select Apply to All users in the Action pane on the right.

• To add email as a search criteria for the Quick Search at the top of the wMobile phone home menu, select My Preferences | Contact Options.
• Checkmark Contact Email Address and Save.

• To add email as a search criteria for the Quick Search in wMobile Desktop, select Tools | Options.

Set Columns in Search Center in DesktopI was recently asked about setting fields for all users in wMobile Desktop. This feature was added in Default User Options. Navigate to Options | Desktop | ContactsClick on the browse button next to Contact List.
Click Add to add columns.
Select Apply to All users in the Action pane to apply.

wDiagnostic Improvement
• The wDiagnostic now checks for primary keys on the wMobile SQL tables. These can get lost when copying the database from one server to another.

Date Chooser
• The new date and time selection is more in line with date and time selections in other applications. The date selection allows easy scrolling through the month, day, and year options for faster selection.

Custom Date Fields
• The same date selection is used in custom date fields. When you click in a blank date field it will default to the current date and you can adjust from there as needed.

Problem restoring wMobilePhone Session on iOS
• A problem has been fixed with One Click Login sessions on iPhones.
• Users were ‘losing’ their sessions because they didn’t show up a Safari tab, or whichever browser was used.
• The session could be accessed by clicking on the Home button twice, but on reselection, it brought the user back to the main menu.
• Behavior is now consistent with all phone devices and wMobile will open as a Safari browser tab, making it easy to find if minimized.
• Creating a new One Click Login is recommended if you use an iPhone.

• This issue was discovered when users went to Edit custom field views in wMobile Phone. This has been resolved in the latest public build (3.1.3.542).

iPad Search Fixed
• An issue was reported where users could not tap into the search fields to enter search criteria on an iPad. This was fixed in build 3.1.3.468.

Option to Auto-fill ContHist Reference
• A customer requested an option to auto-fill the activity reference when users left it empty.
• An option has been added in System Settings in wMobile Manager Console. This would apply to all users.

Adding Fields in Email Templates
• In cases where there were many custom fields, the user couldn’t get the bottom of the list. A scrollbar has been added to fix this issue.

Prompt on Email Template Deletion
• A prompt was added when an email is deleted, so it doesn’t happen accidentally.

• The F2 Lookup list was not coming up when building filters in Contact Search Center list.

Filter List Now Refreshing
• When filters are added, this list is now refreshing automatically.

Service Center Updates
• Can now sort by Age/Created Date• Columns can be re-sized. The column size settings
are ‘sticky’ so they will be the same when you return to the Service Center in your current wMobile session, or when you log back in.

Opportunity List
• Status and Stage fields now have filtering options in the Opportunity List.
• The Status list has an Active option which includes any status other than Closed, Won, Lost, or Abandoned. This will include any custom status values.

Active (Not Closed) Projects
• wMobile now has an Active (Not Closed) filter option on Status. This includes any Project where the Status is not set to Closed. This supports custom status values.

Reordering of Fields in Opportunities/Projects
• To re-order the columns, click on Select Columns.
• Click on a field and use the up/down arrow keys as shown here.

Deleting Online Email
• When deleting emails from the Online server or ISP mailbox, these emails now go into a Local Trash folder.
• This allows the user to recover if they delete an email by mistake.

Forwarding Emails
• Inline image attachments from iOS email client were not included in forwarded email in wMobile. This issue has been resolved.

Email CursorA customer found the cursor skipping to the bottom of the page when using the Enter key.
A change in the email editor settings resolved this issue.

On the Display tab settings, locate Editors New Line Mode. Change this setting from “Paragraph” to “BreakLine.”

• The Search criteria now includes both name and email address.

Maintain Lookup Lists in wMobile Desktop
• wMobile Desktop now supports adding, editing and deleting lookup list values.
• The options will be dependent on GoldMine user settings. As in GoldMine, if a lookup list is restricted, only master-level users would be able to edit the list.

• The Dashboards are good way to keep track of activities and forecasted sales.

wMobile Phone DashboardThe Phone Dashboard has options to view History Activities and Pending Activities.
The user can be changed, pending on user permissions. Some users are restricted to only seeing their own activities.
History date selections include common options such as Today, This Week, Last Week, This Month, and Last Month. A date range can also be specified.
Pending date selections include Today, This Week, Next Week, This Month, Next Month. A date range can also be specified.

Screen Adjustments
• The splitter bar can be used using the arrow to adjust the list larger and smaller.

Past Due
• The Pending dashboard includes a Past Due column. This can be very helpful to make sure you’re on top of activities and sales.
• The Forecasted Sales access allows you to easily keep track of your forecasts.

History Dashboard
The History Dashboard shows summary info on all types of activities: Created Contacts, Calls, Appointments, Next Actions, Other Actions, To-Dos, Sales, Events and Email activity.
