I have research a range of different typeface that will be appropriate for my poster. The typefaces I would need to research will be for the movie title and the production credits. Also the typeface I will choose will be specific to the sub genre of my movie which help the audience recognise the connotate the sub genre I have chosen.

This font is called ‘face your fear’. The letters are positioned fairly close to each other. The font is like someone has painted the letters with a finger. This straight away connotes the genre of the movie. the font can easily stand out from the background. I have learnt from my market research that my audience like to see bold strong typefaces on the poster.

This font is called ‘oh no’. It is very similar to the previous font but in this font the font have a smuj affect to it which is a common convention on a horror movie font that has a sub genre of a slasher. I feel this is a very affective typeface to use as it stands out and clearly indicates that this is horror movie font.

This font is called ‘nightbird’. This is another font that create a blood like affect. Its a very big and eye catching font which makes it stand out from the background. My audience research shows that this would be a ideal font as it meet all the requirements and meets all the conventions of a horror movie font.

This font is called ‘frisky vampire’. This is a very unique font and was the most popular choice on my audience research. The font conotes a range of different elements helping the audience identity the genre and give an idea about the plot of the movie.

when looking at film poster and prodcution credits at the bottom of the canva are all similar to one another. The font ‘ universe LT 39’ its the most conventional production credit font for all professional horror movie posters.

Conclusion

To conclude during my typeface research for the film poster I have considered fonts that are bold, unique and represent the sub genre of my plot. I have kept my audience research in mind when choosing the font.
