The lake used to be a place where the imagination would sore into the clouds and never come back down until it was dinner time.

Bubbles could make children laugh in awe non-stop. Then the television became available to everyone and children lost a sense of disbelief.

Mountains were conquered by 5 year old kids fighting the dragon to the end.

Hula Hoops used to be used as a jump rope, a substitute for chalk during hop scotch, and other numerous things. They could pass the summer and school day both quickly and safely.

Endless hours outdoors were spent jumping rope to win the gold medal. Fun and fair, competition.

Now, children have become greedy and spoiled. These two children want to play at the same time but aren’t able to because of the availability of the laptop.

Billions of games online for children make it easy for predators to seduce them; even if the child is unaware.

The phone has caused thousands of children to participate in indoor activities simply because they can text their friends quickly.

Rooms like these give children some chance to socialize but not much because they are all concentrating on the television.

Video games have taken over children’s minds. They have become an obsession. Kids don’t often seem to realize they are closing themselves off from society.
