DESCRIPTION

As live streams grow in popularity, so does the importance of reliable live stream monitoring. While networks are equipped with the necessary tools to monitor traditional broadcasts, they're lacking the same for streamed media. The solution lies in an automated, scalable system that can reliably monitor the streamed programming of broadcasters. Broadcasters also have a need for online ad monitoring, as industry experts forecast a triple digit increase in ad growth for online media through 2017. TV stations must be able to log, record and monitor their streaming content to provide "proof of airing." FCC web captioning requirements are further increasing the need for live stream monitoring. This paper will discuss how a cloud-based monitoring solution meets the sophistication of today's content delivery environment and provides broadcasters with an innovative, streamlined way to meet all of their monitoring requirements. It will also touch upon the benefits of a cloud-based solution.
