Physical Features/Description
• About 7 feet long• They weigh up to 1,600 pounds [726 kg]• They have 2 toes• Single hump• Tufted tails
• It has tinny ears and huge feet• Long necks and skinny legs
Habitat
• Lives in the desert
• Its dry sandy and very hot
• Lives though north Africa
• And climate
• Egypt, Mali, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Niger, Chad, Ethiopia
Diet/behavior
• Able to close nastrils to keep out sand
• They can walk by the end of the day they are born
• The camel can go without water for several weeks
• They use their strong large lips to break branches
• They will eat any vegetation they can find

• Camels live up to 50 years
• They can be trained by humans
• People have used camels for centuries
