Tableau Software initial aim was to commercialize research conducted at Stanford Universitys

Department of Computer Science between 1999 and 2002

Instalasi lebih mudah Konfigurasi server lebih mudah Akses dan manajemen mudah, hanya ada 2 GUI yaitu Tableau

Desktop (termasuk Tableau Reader) dan Tableau Server Web Arsitektur lebih sederhana, sehingga mudah melakukan root cause

analysis jika terjadi kesalahan

Kekurangan Tableau Server hanya bisa diinstal di Windows (32 bit dan 64 bit), Desktop bisa

di Windos dan Mac Tidak ada pilihan media penyimpanan data aplikasi (server) saat
