INTRODUCTION

Supazorb is the most advanced absorbant and remediation technology in the world today. There is no other product which can rival the capabilities of this highly researched biomass environmentally or economically.

Developed by environmental scientist Frans Wilson in 1996, Supazorb is the first technology of its kind, and during twelve years of continuous research it has been given the highest award attainable for the environmental category at the Salon International des Inventions et Produit in Geneva and is reputed by the worlds leading authorities as being twenty years ahead of any other research in this field. Top honours have also been received in Manchester UK and in Taiwan.

SUPAZORB – GLOBAL REMEDIATION OF UNPRECEDENTED PROPORTIONTo describe this as a possible route to solving pollution problems would be a gross under-statement.

The balance of organic matter is arguably the most important controlling entity in global warming. We are moving into an era of immeasurable suffering unless an immediate change of mind set in the way we deal with pollution is brought about.

SUPAZORB technology is the most holistic remediation technology in the world and has the potential to remediate the planet to the point of equilibrium in the balance of organic to human waste matter. Without such balance disasters of cataclysmic proportions will and are occurring as you read

The human population has expanded to a level beyond that which the earth can sustain it, in its present condition.

SUPAZORB was developed to address the imbalance in organic matter which will result in a healthy planet.

SUPAZORB is the result of twelve years of research and trials backed by independent laboratories, universities and tested in the field with incredible success using the miracle of nature at its best.

DESCRIPTIONSUPERZORB is a natural organic, non-toxic and non-leaching absorbant of hydrocarbons (oil) and chemicals. It acts as a water purifier that absorbs the heavy metals by ion-cation exchange. It also buffers the pH.

SUPAZORB contains fungi, bacteria, yeast and algae which bio remediate (break down) hydrocarbons and proteins such as corpse leachate in cemeteries – also used in treating sewer water in effluent treatment plants.

SUPAZORB is a mixture of 4 plant derivatives that are harvested at the right time and maturity to ensure the maximum concentration of microbial content.

The method of harvesting is prescribed by the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, in minimizing harm to the environment.SUPAZORB produces enzymes within the micro-biological content which shorten carbon chains to be catabolized by the micro-organisms. The end result is carbon dioxide, water and biomass (organic fertilizer).

SUPAZORB has porous structure much like that of sponge, the capillaries will absorb any hydrocarbon spill and it will not leach from the product, it even traps flammable fumes.

SUPAZORB is a 100% South African Product

Highly porous ultra-structure – ideal for microbial attachment and growth.

Surface active exudates enhance the affinity for hydrophobic substances and promote rapid capillary action

ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS

Endocrine disruptors are exogenous substances that act like artificial hormones. These artificial hormones diffuse the sensitive balance of hormone producing endocrine systems of humans and animals.

Endocrine disruptors are man-made chemical combinations, which are distributed over waterways into sensitive natural ecosystems. There they intervene the natural hormone cycle of animals.

With these characteristics, endocrine disruptors are cytotoxic to human and animal cells. Because endocrine disruptors effect the development of the body’s vital organs and hormone systems, infants, children and developing foeti are vulnerable.

Risks are:

•Reduction in male fertility

•Abnormalities in male reproductive organs

•Female reproductive diseases

•Earlier puberty

•Declines in the numbers of males born etc.

SUPAZORB reduces cytotoxicity and hereby a reduction in endocrine disruptors after treatment (analysis by accredited lab)

SUPAZORB has both oleophilic and hydrophobic properties and is ideal for use in or on water.

SUPAZORB upon application, suppresses vapours and odours thereby minimising the associated risks of proliferation, explosion and combustion.

SUPAZORB does not carry electrostatic charge. South African Bureau of Standards report is available on request.

SUPAZORB is easy to handle

AVERTING DISASTER

Page 14: Supazorb Pres Jan 2009 Linked In

Contaminated rail tracks - from transport spillage of a number of chemicals and diesel

fuel. Site treated using SupaZorb and SupaZorb remediation procedures.

The area in the foreground was treated with about a 2cm layer of SupaZorb, wet and

covered with wood chips to prevent evaporation. After approximately 4 weeks the ballast

was clean as can be seen.

Day 24 – Previously affected test area shows no sign of contamination.

The SupaZorb works down through the ballast stones and remediate's hydrocarbon

contaminants that have washed down over time. This eliminates the necessity of

displacing ballast and washing which is the current practice and very costly requiring

special equipment.

Supazorb can be used as an absorbent, a bioremediationtool or a combination of both making it unique in spill response and cleanup.

Subsequent mineralization of sorbed pollutant enhances in-situ bioremediation

OIL PONDS IN THE DESERT

Sour oil being stored in lined ponds

SUPAZORB OIL TO SOIL (soilification)

Converting Oil into Organic FertilizerWhen an oil spill on soil is treated with SUPAZORB

the soil which has been remediated becomes more fertile than the soil on which the spill was made.

COMPARISON:

One litre of any commercial fertiliser will give a return approximately one ton of organic growth (edible crops)

One litre of oil or sour oil treated with SUPAZORB will give a return of approximately three hundred and fifty tons of organic growth!

Soil remediation Ex Situ

Contaminated soil is identified, isolated and transported to a suitable location.

The area is prepared for the remediation process.

The area should be lined to prevent leach-ate entering groundwater systems

Contaminated soil is processed according the recommended method and

monitored closely.

A rule of thumb is roughly 5-10% SupaZorb by volume is mixed in to the

contaminated soil .

Once contaminated soil has been prepared and processed, it is then watered and

covered.

The process is monitored on a weekly basis. By day 29, all contamination has

been removed.

SUPAZORB includes four different plant derivatives.

The CASUARINA TREE is synonymous with SUPAZORB and makes up the bulk of its sorbant material.

At present we have the ability to produce to a demand of 10 Million bags of SUPAZORB per month from our resources.

SUPAZORB supports forestation initiatives and undertakes to propagate, supply and aid in the planting of seedlings under strict conformity to prescriptions laid down by the Department of Water and Forestry (DWAF) South Africa.

SUPAZORB will only undertake and participate in mass forestation in collaboration with regulatory bodies.

SUPAZORB is passionate about the planet which is why we have persevered in this miraculous technology and does not condone any practice which has detrimental effect on the environment holistically.

CASUARINA TREE PLANTATIONS - REMEDIATION OF DENUDED AND STERILE SOILS

THE CASUARINA TREE has enormous investment potential whilst serving a vital role in correcting the imbalances which human kind have inflicted on the planet.Ideally plantations should be should be located on the most denuded portions of land thus having the least environmental impact and the maximum potential benefits. CASUARINA has the ability to regenerating soil conditions to give maximum potential for long term forestation, or returning the area to its natural biodiversity, or for the later introduction of food crops.Direct remediation of mine dumps and the ability to reverse desertification

Casuarina Trees

Page 22: Supazorb Pres Jan 2009 Linked In

•Minimal uptake of ground water. •Low rainfall tolerant. •Low toxin and heavy metal uptake through root system. •Shallow root system that is easily removed. •Nitrogen fixing via associated bacteria a major source of fertility for crops increasing yields. •Harvesting of organic matter for use in bioremedial component (SUPAZORB). •Harvesting of timber, cut at base so replanting is not necessary. •High Btu (higher than Coal), excellent fuel source, slow burning with minimal smoke and ash. (the best fire wood in the world) •Potential for replacing coal in power stations? •Cleanest burning natural fuel source known to man. •Excellent for Charcoal and activated carbon production with less weight loss (2 thirds) than other woods (3 quarters). •Can be used for paper pulp. •Fast growing at approx 1,5 meters per annum. •Sterile soil delivers at 5 years •Natural reseeding is almost unheard of so invasive potential is non existent. •Excellent for halting and reverting desertification•Forestation is critical in the move to reduce global warming•Huge social upliftment and employment opportunities
