INTRODUCTION

Roku express activation provides the simplest way to stream entertainment to your TV with more channels than any other streaming player.

Roku's extensive Channel Store includes 1,800+ channels. Roku channels are free including YouTube, Pandora,

PBS, PBS Kids, Hasbro, Crackle, Vevo, Crunchy Roll, Baeble, Popcornflix, Smithsonian and much more.

In Roku we have both private channels and public channels.

Private Channel: An adult-oriented channel is a good example of a channel that Roku would not publish publicly. The channel contains content that is confidential or intended for members or employees in a specific group or company.

Public Channels: Channels that appear in the Roku Channel Store are considered public, as they are discoverable through Search to anyone with a Roku device. Once a channel passes certification, it is published as a public channel.

How to add channels to your Roku player

Press home option on your remote to open the main screen.

Scroll up or down and select Streaming Channels to open the Channel Store.

When you want to learn more about a channel, press  (ok) on your remote to open the details. 

If the channel is “free” then you can select Add Channel to install the channel on your Roku device

If the channel is “paid”, then you can select Buy $X.XX in order to purchase and install the channel.

If you have a Roku account PIN, then you will be required to enter it. If you do not have a PIN you need to purchase.

If your payment information is out-of-date, it will need to be updated in your Roku account.

Free Channels For Movies & TV Shows

Crackle - It is one of the most popular free streaming networks. It is not same as Netflix or Hulu but it provides a decent movies and TV shows.

CW Seed – It doesn’t have the full lineup of shows, but they do have a few new TV shows, plenty of older shows, and even some CW Seed exclusives.
