What is social media?• Definition of SOCIAL MEDIA: forms of electronic

communication through which users create online communities to share Information, ideas, personal messages, and other content.

• Examples of social media is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, News, radio, text messaging, basically anything that can inform you about what is going on in the world.

• Social media impacts this world and you in many ways.

2. The Spread of Media: Now a day's, many people can find out the top news due to social media. For explain the Bombing in Boston, Movies, etc.

3. In today’s economy, it is very difficult for a person to get a job. Many companies use these social medias to hire these people which help create jobs.

4. Law force can use social media to catch criminals which decrease crime rate.

The con’s of social media

1. Not everything on the media is true. Sometimes it will have false information.

2. It is shown that people who are heavy social users tend to have lower grades then the people who don’t use social media often.

3. Social media helps the spread of cyber bullying, 800,000 children were bullied on a survey taken in June 2012.

4. Most Importantly, social media decreases face to face interactions, which can lead to isolation.

KONY 2012; was a video made to help the children in Uganda. In this video we learn that Joseph Kony was kidnaping children and turning them into his person soldiers. To help these people in Uganda, Jason Russell makes a video to unit the world. He ask for money to build schools for these children and united the people to make the government take action. In january 15th President Obama sign the Reward for Justice bill which wanted the arrest of Joseph Kony.

In the New York times, Police arrested a man who kidnapped four woman and raped three of them in Cleveland. Many people in his neighborhood were shocked that this man could have done such a thing because he was a “nice” person on facebook. On his facebook he would post thinks like good morning world or “This morning i woke up to the sound of a chirping cardinal. Yes! come on spring!”1. What can we learn from this
