The Guidance and Instructions on the Recovery Spend…

As TecNA has already discovered, the guidance, instructions, staffing, and distribution of the Recovery Act dollars is dripping out bit, by bit, by bit…and thus leaving much in doubt, confusing, and worse lowering expectations about what is required to obtain, use, and measure

Simple Agenda: NES Request of Simple Agenda: NES Request of TecTecNANA

ARRA – the Economic Stimulus Act requires in Titles 15 & 16 to measure performance – first against waste-fraud-abuse, second for economic recovery and job growth so as to advance competitiveness

A consortia of national associations representing state-regional-elected officials, economic development, science and technology along with the National Academy for Public Administration is working with New Economy Strategies

Intentions are clear – to ensure that the metrics for applying the nearly $1 Trillion in existing, emerging dollars creates sustainable economic competitiveness and innovation capacity building in every state, town, village and community

Information, knowledge, and data WILL drive the application, implementation, and ultimately the outcomes for success

Public and Private Sector CIOs are again critical to the Nation NES asks that TechNA join the consortia to provide counsel, guidance,

and input to the metrics, requirements for meeting expectations, and most importantly communicate with the IT, Software, Digital Media community!

Focus – The National Dashboard on Federal-Regional Economic Stimulus Impact

Catalyzing New Metrics on The National Recovery, Competitiveness and Innovation

Beyond research, patents and license revenues, there are additional ways to measure performance of the discovery-development-delivery scenario among academic, non-profit and industry research activities

These metrics focus on relationships first, then transactions. The connectivity between individuals, interests, and innovation must be captured to tell the story of the research, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, and logistics… beyond what any current survey defines.

By taking a leadership role, TecNA defines the scenario for its membership, helps shape the larger environmental conditions for success from traditional funding AND the Stimulus, and assists industry-academia-entrepreneur-economic development pathways towards the Knowledge Economy: but now collaboratively, collectively the Stimulus Economy requires more intensive measures of results!
