Description: Students develop the building system for their own designs, together with Design Studios, selecting materials and designing details in a coherent manner with the form and image they want to carry out. The aim is motivating students to achieve a personal solution for their work comprising structure & foundation, façade, glazing, roof, drainage etc.

Description: Carrying on with the same philosophy, students deal with the difficulties of the construction process. The goal is not only the development of their own design building system, but also the proposal of a viable and simple construction process. Therefore they must think about easy-assembly, mechanical joints focusing on components design.

Description: Once students have set out the main construction concepts by previous models, they are asked to draw building system exhaustively, developing thereby a completely finished construction project.

Description: In this Workshop students build an almost real-scale [1:3] model of a real building structure. In this case the selected sample was the Shelter for Roman Ruins in Chur by P.Zumthor, peviously analyzed in Building Technology III. The frame was made of pallet-recycled timber wich, was cut and assembled by means of alluminium conections.

Description: According to Spanish regulation, Architecture studens must prepare a Final Project to obtain their degree. It consists in a “real“ architectural project, ranging from urban design to a totally defined technical drawings and documents. Advisor role is to guide students throughout all the process that introduce them into professional practice.
